Original WWII Japanese Occupation Dutch East Indies Foreigner Registration Document Malang

Original double-sided document from World War II dating from the Japanese occupation of the Dutch East Indies.
This rare document concerns the registration of a foreign resident with the Japanese occupation authorities in Malang, East Java.
The nationality is recorded as ‘Belanda’, meaning Dutch, and the document features a portrait photograph of the registered person.
Registration number 15098 appears on both sides.
One side serves as a temporary residence and registration certificate containing personal details, address information, Japanese text and several official stamps.
The reverse records registration and periodic residence or registration fee payments, with several amounts stamped in rupiah.
The document is dated according to the Japanese Shōwa calendar and was used under the Japanese military administration of the Dutch East Indies.

Het zeldzame document betreft de registratie van een buitenlandse inwoner bij de Japanse bezettingsautoriteiten in Malang op Oost-Java.
De nationaliteit staat vermeld als ‘Belanda’, Nederlands, en het document is voorzien van een pasfoto van de geregistreerde persoon.
Het registratienummer 15098 staat op beide zijden vermeld.
