Original Pre 1940 Dutch army ‘Voor Krijgsverrichtingen’ medal in box with Borneo 1859–1863 clasp

Original Dutch military decoration “Voor Krijgsverrichtingen” with clasp Borneo 1859–1863 presented in its original case.
This historic medal was instituted by King Willem III and awarded to soldiers who participated in important military expeditions in the Dutch East Indies.
The obverse shows the portrait of King Willem III with the inscription “Voor Krijgsverrigtingen” surrounded by a classic cross design.
The clasp “Borneo 1859–1863” refers to the military campaigns on Borneo during the colonial period of the Dutch East Indies.
The medal is suspended from the original ribbon in green with yellow edges, characteristic of this Dutch decoration.
The set is housed in its original presentation case from Firma J. M. J. van Wielik of The Hague, a supplier of orders and decorations.

Originele Nederlandse militaire onderscheiding “Voor Krijgsverrichtingen” met gesp Borneo 1859–1863 in het originele doosje.
Deze historische medaille werd ingesteld door Koning Willem III en uitgereikt aan militairen die deelnamen aan belangrijke militaire expedities in Nederlands-Indië.
Op de voorzijde staat het portret van Koning Willem III met de tekst “Voor Krijgsverrigtingen”, omgeven door een klassiek kruisontwerp.
De gesp “Borneo 1859–1863” verwijst naar de militaire campagnes op Borneo tijdens de koloniale periode van Nederlands-Indië.
De medaille hangt aan het originele lint in groen met gele randen, kenmerkend voor deze Nederlandse onderscheiding.
Het geheel bevindt zich in het oorspronkelijke bewaardoosje van Firma J. M. J. van Wielik uit Den Haag, leverancier van ridderorden en onderscheidingen.
