Original Pre 1940 Dutch army motorcyclist trousers

Original Dutch army leather motorcyclist trousers dating from 1938 from the mobilization period just before the Second World War.
These heavy motorcycle trousers were worn by military motorcyclists, dispatch riders and communication personnel of the Dutch army.
The trousers are made from thick black leather and were designed to protect against wind, rain and wear during motorcycle riding and field service.
The interior features a fabric lining and the typical high waist construction common to military motorcycle clothing of the 1930s.
Leather motorcycle trousers like these were used during the Dutch mobilization period of 1939–1940 by several units of the Dutch armed forces.
An authentic and historically significant military garment from the final years of the pre-war Dutch army.

Originele Pre 1940 Nederlands leger motorrijders broek 

Originele Nederlandse leger leren motorrijdersbroek uit circa 1938 afkomstig uit de mobilisatieperiode vlak voor de Tweede Wereldoorlog.
Deze zware motorbroek werd gedragen door militaire motorrijders, ordonnansen en verbindingspersoneel van het Nederlandse leger.
De broek is vervaardigd uit dik zwart leer en ontworpen om bescherming te bieden tegen wind, regen en slijtage tijdens motorritten en veldgebruik.
De binnenzijde is voorzien van een stoffen voering en een karakteristieke hoge tailleconstructie zoals gebruikelijk bij militaire motorkleding uit de jaren dertig.
Dergelijke leren motorrijdersbroeken werden gebruikt tijdens de mobilisatieperiode van 1939–1940 door verschillende onderdelen van de Nederlandse landmacht.
Een historisch militair kledingstuk uit de laatste jaren van het vooroorlogse Nederlandse leger.
