Original WWII US 7th army Class A Service Dress jacket

Original WWII U.S. Army Class A Service Dress jacket of the famous 7th U.S. Army, dated July 10, 1942.
Both sleeves display the rank insignia of a Technician Third Grade (T/3), recognizable by the three chevrons with the distinctive “T”. This rank was equivalent to Staff Sergeant and indicated a specialist technical role within the Army.

The colorful and highly recognizable 7th U.S. Army shoulder patch is present on the right sleeve. Above the breast pocket is the “Ruptured Duck” (Honorable Service Lapel Insignia), showing the soldier was honorably discharged after the war. Inside, the original label remains clearly visible with contract number, size 37R, and production date.

The 7th Army fought during World War II in:
Sicily – Rome-Arno – Southern France – Rhineland – Ardennes-Alsace – Central Europe.

Originele WWII U.S. Army Class A Service Dress jacket van de beroemde 7th U.S. Army, gedateerd 10 juli 1942. Op beide mouwen bevindt zich het rangonderscheidingsteken van een Technician Third Grade (T/3), herkenbaar aan de drie chevrons met de kenmerkende “T”. Deze rang stond gelijk aan Staff Sergeant, maar duidde op een specialistische technische functie binnen het leger. Op de rechtermouw prijkt het kleurrijke en zeer herkenbare schouderembleem van de 7th U.S. Army. Boven de borstzak zit het “Ruptured Duck” embleem (Honorable Service Lapel Insignia), dat aangeeft dat de drager eervol uit dienst is gegaan na de oorlog. Binnenin is het originele label nog duidelijk leesbaar met contractnummer, maat 37R en productiedatum.
De 7th Army vocht tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog in: Sicilie – Rome-Arno – Zuid-Frankrijk – Rijnland – Ardennen – Alsace – Midden Europa.
