Original WWII German SS-Standartenführer Dr. Wehofsich document Den Haag/Berlin

Original German document from the Second World War on letterhead of the Volksdeutsche Mittelstelle – Department of Finance, Economy and Asset Administration, dated Berlin W 62, February 28, 1942 (Keithstraße 29). The letter is addressed to SS-Standartenführer Dr. Wehofsich, attached to the Reich Commissioner for the Occupied Dutch Territories in The Hague.

In the brief and formal correspondence, reference is made to obtaining a wage tax card for 1942, with the request that it be applied for directly from Vienna. The letter concludes with the customary greeting of the period and bears an original signature, as well as a clearly stamped official seal featuring the National Socialist eagle and swastika of the Volksdeutsche Mittelstelle.

De brief is gericht aan SS-Standartenführer Dr. Wehofsich, werkzaam bij de Rijkscommissaris voor de bezette Nederlandse gebieden in Den Haag. In de korte, zakelijke correspondentie wordt verwezen naar het verkrijgen van een loonbelastingkaart voor 1942, met het verzoek deze rechtstreeks uit Wenen aan te vragen.
