Original WWII Dutch police document Zeist with two forged butter ration coupons

Original document from the Municipal Police of Zeist dating from the Second World War, titled “Stukken van Overtuiging” (“Exhibits of Evidence”), relating to two forged butter ration coupons marked 09. The document forms part of an official report against Johan Meijer and Benjamin Kopjes Nieman, both suspected of violating Article 8a of the 1941 Distribution Regulations Decree. The relevant butter coupons (09A and 09B) are attached to the document and bear a red stamp of the Municipal Police of Zeist.
The document is signed by the Chief Constables of Police, also serving as unpaid rural constables, G. v. Domselaar and C. Leeuwenkamp. It represents tangible evidence of rationing fraud during the war years and provides a clear insight into the control and enforcement of the distribution system in the occupied Netherlands.

Origineel document van de Gemeentepolitie Zeist uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog, getiteld “Stukken van Overtuiging”, betrekking hebbend op twee vervalste boterbonnen met aanduiding 09. Het stuk maakt deel uit van een proces-verbaal tegen Johan Meijer en Benjamin Kopjes Nieman, beiden verdacht van overtreding van artikel 8a van de Distributieregelingsbeschikking 1941. Op het document zijn de betreffende boterbonnen (09A en 09B) bevestigd, voorzien van een rood stempel van de Gemeentepolitie Zeist. Het stuk is ondertekend door de Opperwachtmeesters van politie, tevens onbezoldigd rijksveldwachter, G. v. Domselaar en C. Leeuwenkamp.
