Original WWII Dutch Bijzondere Vrijwillige Landstorm set

This remarkable set consists of an original certificate and the brochure Notities van een Landstormman by Frank van Waes, forming an interesting historical ensemble within the context of the Dutch Bijzondere Vrijwillige Landstorm(Special Volunteer Landstorm).
The certificate is beautifully designed with richly decorated border ornaments and contains official text stating that a Special Volunteer of the Landstorm Corps “Nieuwe Hollandsche Waterlinie” was honorably discharged from his commitment. The document is dated 29 July 1940 and bears a handwritten name and original signatures.
The brochure Notities van een Landstormman, written by Frank van Waes and published in Amsterdam in 1918, provides a personal and historical insight into the Landstorm.
