This complete (52 numbers) bound Dutch NSB volume of Volk en Vaderland from 1934 constitutes a striking and historically highly relevant document from the pre-war Netherlands.
It is the official weekly newspaper of the National Socialist Movement (NSB), in which the ideology, propaganda and organisation of this movement are presented extensively and without filtering.

The volume contains numerous original issues offering a rich and varied picture of the political and social tensions of the 1930s.
Included are detailed reports on NSB party days and mass meetings in, among others, Amsterdam, Wedde and Bilthoven, articles on the relationship between the NSB and the churches, the position of the middle class, unemployment and taxation issues, as well as international developments such as the political situation in Austria and the close ideological orientation towards Germany.
