Original 1930s Dutch KNIL doll

This rare 1930s composition doll is 37 cm tall and represents a soldier of the KNIL (Royal Netherlands East Indies Army), making it a wonderful historical collectible.
The doll features a beautifully painted face with a characteristic moustache, expressive facial details, and original hand-painted finish that remains nicely preserved.
The uniform is made of olive-green cotton with contrasting stitching and authentic details such as chest pockets, shoulder straps, and a matching belt.
The collar is adorned with miniature rank stars, carefully crafted in detail.
The doll wears a typical tropical hat with cockade, as commonly used within the KNIL, and also includes the Klewang sabre.

Originele Jaren 30 Nederlandse KNIL pop 

Deze zeldzame compositiepop uit de jaren 30 is 37 cm hoog en stelt een militair van het KNIL (Koninklijk Nederlands-Indisch Leger) voor en vormt een prachtig historisch verzamelobject. De pop heeft een fraai beschilderd gezicht met karakteristieke snor, heldere gelaatsuitdrukking en originele handbeschildering die nog altijd mooi intact is. Het uniform is uitgevoerd in olijfgroen katoen met contrasterende stiksels en uniforme details zoals borstzakken, schouderstukken en een bijpassende riem. Op de kraag prijken de sterren van de rangonderscheiding, zorgvuldig nagemaakt in miniatuur. De pop draagt een typerende tropenhoed met kokarde, zoals die binnen het KNIL gebruikelijk was, en ook de Klewang sabel is aanwezig.
