Original WWII Dutch NBS temporary ID card Amsterdam 1945

This provisional identification card of the Dutch Binnenlandse Strijdkrachten (NBS) is dated 5 May 1945, the day of the capitulation of the German forces in the Netherlands.
The pink cardboard pass was issued to members of the Internal Forces to grant them immediate post-liberation access and authority at important locations and services. This example lists the name, unit, and permitted access area in this case the tram depot on Kromme Mijdrechtstraat in Amsterdam and bears the original signature of the commanding officer.
An interesting document for specialised collectors of NBS material, liberation-period papers, and Dutch resistance history from the final days of the war.

Dit voorlopige legitimatiebewijs van de Nederlandse Binnenlandse Strijdkrachten (NBS) is gedateerd 5 mei 1945, de dag van de capitulatie van de Duitse troepen in Nederland. Het roze kartonnen bewijs werd verstrekt aan leden van de Binnenlandse Strijdkrachten om hen onmiddellijk na de bevrijding toegang en bevoegdheid te geven bij belangrijke locaties en diensten. Dit exemplaar vermeldt naam, onderdeel en toegangsgebied, in dit geval de tramremise aan de Kromme Mijdrechtstraat in Amsterdam en is voorzien van de originele handtekening van de commandant. Een interessant document voor gespecialiseerde verzamelaars van NBS-materiaal, bevrijdingsdocumenten en Nederlandse verzetsgeschiedenis uit de laatste oorlogsdagen!
