Deze Nederlandse bekendmakingsposter uit 17 mei 1940 is een vroeg-oorlogsdocument afkomstig van de Commissaris van de Koningin in de provincie Groningen, J. Linthorst Homan. De poster vormt een dringend geschreven oproep aan de Groningse bevolking om, ondanks de zware omstandigheden tijdens de eerste bezettingsdagen, moed, eensgezindheid en voortvarendheid te tonen. In duidelijke en statige taal wordt verwezen naar het voorbeeld van Koningin Wilhelmina, naar opofferingsgezindheid en naar de gezamenlijke plicht om grote werken en provinciale taken krachtig voort te zetten.
