Original WWII German Org. Todt Groningen Ausweis

This German Ausweis from 1944, issued in Groningen during the German occupation, dates from the final months of the Second World War. The permit was issued to Klaas Veenema from Ezinge for a medical examination for deployment with Organisation Todt – the German construction and defence organization responsible for, among other things, trench and excavation work in the Netherlands.
The document is fully handwritten and features several original stamps, including the red stamp “Groningen – Besondere Gewalten”, a purple date stamp of 22 December 1944, and the signature of the examining doctor. The reverse side bears the stamp of the Municipal Administration of Groningen, further confirming its authenticity.

Deze Duitse Ausweis uit 1944 werd uitgegeven in Groningen tijdens de Duitse bezettingen dateert uit de laatste oorlogsmaanden van de Tweede Wereldoorlog. De vergunning werd verstrekt aan Klaas Veenema uit Ezinge, ter medische keuring voor inzet bij Organisation Todt – de Duitse bouw- en verdedigingsorganisatie die in Nederland onder meer schanz- en graafwerkzaamheden liet uitvoeren. Het document is volledig met de hand ingevuld, voorzien van meerdere originele stempels, waaronder het rode stempel van Groningen – Besondere Gewalten, een paars datumstempel van 22 december 1944, en een handtekening van de keurend arts. Op de achterzijde bevindt zich het stempel van het Gemeentebestuur van Groningen.
