Original Dutch KNIL (1945-1949) set medals

This set consists of two original Dutch decorations awarded to a Dutch soldier who served in the Dutch East Indies.
On the left is the Decoration for Order and Peace, instituted in 1947 for servicemen who took part in the police actions and peace operations in the Dutch East Indies between 1945 and 1951.
The bronze, star-shaped decoration is suspended from a red, white, and blue ribbon and features the clasps 1948 and 1949, indicating the years of actual service.
On the right is the Medal for Faithful Service in the Army, an award given to soldiers for long and loyal service.
This bronze medal shows the Dutch national coat of arms with the inscription “Voor Trouwe Dienst” (“For Faithful Service”) and is suspended from the characteristic yellow ribbon.
Together, these decorations form a tangible reminder of the dedication of Dutch soldiers in both wartime and peacetime.

Originele Nederlandse KNIL set onderscheidingen 

Deze set bestaat uit twee originele Nederlandse onderscheidingen welke uitgereikt aan een Nederlandse militair welke in Nederlandsch-Indië vocht.
Links bevindt zich het Ereteken voor Orde en Vrede, ingesteld in 1947 voor militairen die dienden tijdens de politionele acties en vredesoperaties in Nederlands-Indië tussen 1945 en 1951.
Het bronzen, stervormige ereteken hangt aan een rood-wit-blauw lint en is voorzien van de gespen 1948 en 1949, die de jaren van daadwerkelijke inzet aanduiden.
Rechts hangt de Medaille voor Trouwe Dienst bij de Landmacht, een onderscheiding die werd toegekend aan militairen voor langdurige en loyale dienst.
Deze bronzen medaille toont het Nederlandse rijkswapen met de inscriptie “Voor Trouwe Dienst” en hangt aan het karakteristieke gele lint.
Samen vormen deze onderscheidingen een tastbare herinnering aan de inzet van Nederlandse militairen in zowel oorlogstijd als vredestijd.
