This American photo is in good condition, dates from January 1944, and shows the 6-year-old Princess Beatrix around her birthday in Ottawa, Canada, during World War II.
Her mother, Princess Juliana, fled to Canada with her daughters in June 1940 to escape the occupation.
They stayed in Stornoway House in Ottawa, and later also temporarily in the Governor General’s residence.
Beatrix celebrated her 6th birthday (on January 31, 1944) in Ottawa.

Deze Amerikaanse foto is in goede conditie, dateert uit januari 1944 en daarop is de 6 jaar oude Prinses Beatrix op te zien rond haar verjaardag in Ottawa in Canada gedurende de Tweede Wereldoorlog.
Haar moeder, Prinses Juliana was in juni 1940 met haar dochters naar Canada gevlucht om aan de bezetting te ontkomen.
Ze verbleven in Stornoway House in Ottawa, later ook tijdelijk in het Gouverneurshuis.
Beatrix vierde haar 6e verjaardag (op 31 januari 1944) in Ottawa.
