The Dutch photos are in good condition and were taken on September 4, 1944 during “Dolle Dinsdag” in Eindhoven.
These show the departure of the German troops.
On Dolle Tuesday, the German troops and the Dutch population thought that liberation could take place at any moment and headlong the Germans and collaborators left for Germany.
Unfortunately, the war would continue for several months before the actual liberation took place.

De foto’s zijn in goede conditie en werden genomen op 4 september 1944 tijdens ‘Dolle Dinsdag’ in Eindhoven.
Hierop is het vetrek van de Duitse troepen te zien.
Op Dolle dinsdag dachten de Duitse troepen en de Nederlandse bevolking dat de bevrijding elk moment kon plaats vinden en halsoverkop vertrokken de Duitsers en collaborateurs naar Duitsland.
Helaas zou de oorlog nog een aantal maanden duren voordat de daadwerkelijke bevrijding plaats vond.
