The SS Handschar division, also known as the Handschar Muslimische Division or SS-Handschar Brigade, was a Waffen-SS division consisting primarily of Muslim volunteers from Bosnia and Herzegovina and other parts of the Balkans.
The division was established in 1943 by the German occupation authorities in Croatia, who were seeking to recruit local populations to fight alongside German forces in World War II.

The Handschar division was named after the traditional Bosnian symbol of a curved dagger, and its soldiers wore fezzes and other traditional Muslim clothing.
The division was initially trained and commanded by German officers, but also included a number of Muslim officers who had been trained by the Germans.

The Handschar division saw combat against Yugoslav Partisans and other Allied forces in the Balkans.
